Apprentice Ballistic Glass / Opaque Armour Production Operative TYNESIDE SAFETY GLASS COMPANY LIMITED
Due to a period of expansion within our ballistic glass department Tyneside Safety Glass have an exciting opportunity for an apprentice to join the business as an Apprentice Ballistic Glass production operative. The right candidate will be working within a specialist department which manufactures ballistic glass for use in armoured vehicles.

Annual wage
£15,815.80
£7.90 per hour rising to £8.46 per hour after 6 months should work meet the expected requirements.

Working week
The typical working week will see apprentices initially work a day shift rotation of 38.5 hours per week with the potential of moving to work other shift patterns i.e. 48 hours 4 x 12 hours shifts 6am – 6pm (Monday – Thursday).

What you will do in your working day
- Working with state-of-the-art machinery and equipment to a competent level in your work area Complete relevant paperwork throughout the shift
- Communicating with members of the production team on a daily basis
- Achieve daily targets and report anomalies
- Ensure college work and projects are kept up to date
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures
- Carry out good housekeeping
- Carry out new and additional tasks when required

- All training will take place in the workplace with no requirement to attend college
