What you will do in your working day
Main duties:
- Manual machining using mills, lathes and precision surface grinders
- Hand fitting and building of assemblies
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Workspace cleanliness
- Using safe working practices
You will be working with a small team of toolmakers and designers making parts for many industries including; automotive, military, medical etc
The training you will be getting
- The learner will be studying the Engineer Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
- Day release to West Suffolk College.
- Functional skills in maths and English will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held.
