What you will do in your working day
- Check feeding, watering all shop animals and boarding
- Cleaning animal enclosures
- Handling animals
- Serving and assisting customers
- Replenishing stock as and when needed
- Routine cleaning duties, keeping the shop to high level of cleanliness
The training you will be getting
- Animal Care and Welfare Assistant Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard
- Functional skills in maths and English (if required)
- Training will be provided either online or in college as a delivery methods from a Leeds City College assessor
- There will be Work Based Learning (WBL) visits from the college assessor as part of the apprenticeship
- Qualification will be Level 2 Animal Care and Welfare assistant which will enable the candidate to be fully qualified in Animal Care at Level 2

- A permanent position may be offered, with a view to full time hours
