What you will do in your working day

Duties:

  • Develop & maintain partnerships
  • Be flexible within working practices of the setting, undertaking other responsible duties
  • Work alongside managers & staff to ensure that the setting’s philosophy is fulfilled
  • Read, understand & adhere to all policies & procedures relevant to your role & the safe running of the setting
  • Learn & deliver the EYFS, ensure individual needs & interest of children are met

An Early Years Educator:

Plans and supervises child initiated and adult led activities which are based around the needs and interests of each individual child.  

Meets the care needs of the individual child such as feeding, changing nappies and administration of medicine

Apprentices must successfully complete a first aid qualification in line with the requirements of the EYFS Framework (Annex A): Early years foundation stage (EYFS) statutory framework - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk).
