What will the apprentice be doing?
Vehicle apprentice will learn, under supervision, all aspects of vehicle operations and work within a team framework filled with vast experiences, to achieve daily targets.
Apprentices will be trained to:
- Carry out suspension renewals.
- Carry out braking system renewals.
- Servicing and general repairs.
- Maintaining workspace areas.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Apprentices will attend City of Bristol College for 2 week blocks, then return to the workplace for 6 weeks and repeat. You will work towards Level 3 Standard in Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Light Vehicle. An advisor will visit at least every six weeks as part of a close support network to ensure that Apprentices are both enjoying and progressing on their course. An Apprentice’s training includes:
Level 3 Standard in Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Light Vehicle.
Functional Skills in English and maths (if not exempt).
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Full-time Technician employment contract may be offered to right candidate once apprenticeship has been passed. Further development and training available to further career.
