What will the apprentice be doing?

Apprentice Hair Stylist working in a very friendly but busy Salon in support of two Senior stylists who will mentor you through your Hairdressing career to Senior Stylist.

Duties & Responsibilities will vary with experience as you progress but initially these will be:

  • Meet & Greet Clients
  • Reception Duties
  • Salon Maintenance: Keeping the Salon Clean & Tidy, Stock Taking, Stock Display
  • Shampooing Clients
  • Assisting Stylists with preparation, Colouring & Perming
  • You will be required to study on a day release basis.

We hold themed days Halloween, Birthdays, state Occasions as well as a Christmas Party.

You'll need to be well presented, have the right attitude and be reliable. 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Hair Professional Level 2  Apprenticeship - Training with Milton Keynes College - One Day a week at The Graduate Salon, Bletchley.

Ongoing training, support and development with the employer

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Permanent position with advancement to Senior Hair stylist.

About the employer

We are, an established modern salon with an excellent reputation for friendliness and service to both residents and outside clients. Set within a lively and very busy retirement village with over 300 apartments with planned expansion to over 500 apartments with the next building phase. As part of this expansion we will also relocate to a brand new and much larger Salon. The village is self contained with facilities such as restaurants, bar, gym, library etc. and other small businesses like ourselves.
