What will the apprentice be doing?

Day-to-day duties will include:

  • Dealing with clients on a day-to-day basis
  • General typing and client correspondence
  • Diary management
  • Paperless office database maintenance
  • Develop into a role to take full responsibility for administrative sub-areas
  • Other general administrative duties.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:

  • This apprenticeship will be completed by working 4 days per week onsite with the employer, learning the job role and gaining valuable work experience, and then 1 day per week completing college work remotely.
  • English and maths Functional Skills may be completed alongside the apprenticeship if necessary, however, passing this will be mandatory to receive the Level 3 Business Administration qualification.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

There may be opportunities for the successful apprentice to progress into roles such as that of an office administrator upon completion of the apprenticeship.
