What will the apprentice be doing?
- Use inspection process and data to support growers/suppliers deliver consistent raw materials and service
- Accurate assessment of raw material inspected
- Accurate recording of findings with supporting photographic evidence where visualisation adds value to inspection data
- Complete and send grower/supplier reports, post-Procurement team evaluation; within agreed time scales, with supporting evidence e.g. data, photos, claim details
- Identify and segregate ‘out of specification’ materials and agree actions with relevant departments
- Monitor the quality of bouquets produced against customer specifications
- Assess all aspects of the finished products and utilise links to support departments to produce a detailed picture
- Determine if specifications prepared for the production line staff are accurate and fit for purpose
- To support the Factory teams by providing technical support and advice, seeking guidance from the QA Supervisor on any technical issues e.g., calibration of measuring equipment, labelling, raw materials, and traceability
- To work with the production teams on continuous improvement of technical control and the monitoring, auditing of and management of the quality system
- To support new product development trials and product launches, to ensure product is manufactured to correct standard
- To operate in a safe working manner and support the site/business on continuous improvement relating to health, safety and the environment

- External training from Apprenticeship provider, training workshop on site (virtual) every 6 - 8 weeks for additional skills
