What will the apprentice be doing?

In this job you will work and interact directly with children on a day to day basis supporting the planning of and delivery of activities, purposeful play opportunities and educational programmes within the ethos of the setting. An EYP works as part of a professional team ensuring the welfare and care for children under the guidance and supervision of an Early Years Educator, teacher or other suitably qualified professional the Early Years Workforce.

 

  • To help set up the pre-school for the daily programme and help tidy away at the end of the day
  • To supervise children , offering appropriate support and stimulation .
  • To help and support children's self care
  • To ensure that activities are being conducted safely
  • To work under the direction of the pre-school manager & deputy 
  • To assist with the planning of the 7 areas of learning using the stationary Early years framework.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will attend Suffolk New College (Ipswich Campus) one day per week to complete your study.

You will leave this Apprenticeship with experience and a level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification.
