What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Support the AM manager, and the AM Technicians in the efficient running of the department to ensure daily production requirements are achieved
  • Post Processing of Builds
  • Using the AMFG online Platform
  • Responsibility for housekeeping work in the department, with a view to achieving 5S standards
  • Mixing SLS powder and preparing the 3D print Machines
  • Support work on department stock take and supplies
  • Cleaning and preparing components from builds
  • Ability to follow work instructions and SOP’s
  • Inspecting components and completing Quality documentation
  • Ensure that good standards of health and safety and housekeeping are maintained in the work areas

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • You will work towards a level 2 Engineering Operative qualification 
  • You will have a day release at Middlesbrough College

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Potential permanent position upon completion.
