What will the apprentice be doing?

Are you looking for a career in Engineering? If so, Jarb Technical is looking for you!

  • You will be guided and trained in the use of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines such as Vertical Machining Centres, Turning Centres and general workshop equipment like vices, grinding wheels and pillar drills
  • Your training will also cover CAD-CAM software (Computer Aided Design & Computer Aided Machining) which will be used for design. Jarb Tech will help you learn by sending you on commercial courses so you can gain a wider understanding of this software
  • With a skilled team of engineers, you will become self-working and expected to carry out the manufacture of individual components using drawings of your own. Jarb Technical work with companies like Formula 1 Racing Team/s; MOD (Military of Defence) in the support of engineering manufacturing of raw materials into finished products

Once you have completed your apprenticeship, Jarb Technical hope to be able to offer a full-time role with the appropriate salary to suit skill set.

  • Level 3 Machining Technician Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard
  • Functional Skills in English and maths if required

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

If the candidate shows a particular skill or makes good progress during training, the company will endeavour to support them to a higher level wherever possible on completion of the apprenticeship.
