What will the apprentice be doing?
- The successful candidate will be mainly working in the digital print department alongside experienced Signmakers
- Learning the skills required to run wide format digital printers, using software and maintaining the machines
- Applying and laminating graphics to a variety of materials used within the sign industry
- Working with a wide variety of tools and equipment in a practical role
- Preparing and packaging finished goods ready for the delivery and installation of the product
- Working within a team environment to make sure daily schedule requirements are met to a high standard
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Standard: Signage technician Level 3 (A level)
- Functional Skills maths Level 2, Functional Skills English Level 2 if required
Training will take place on a day release basis at Hull Training’s engineering centre.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
The successful candidate will be given the opportunity of full-time employment upon completion of the advanced apprenticeship if available.
