What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Liaise and support the Centre Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the reception office
  • Answering phone calls, supporting community group users and visitors, taking function and childcare bookings, allowing access to approved visitors and centre users, as well as invoicing responsibilities
  • Basic duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding and scanning 
  • Maintaining records of transactions undertaken in an honest and trustworthy way
  • Data processing and being able to follow the General Data Protection Act
  • Ensure the operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and calling for repairs
  • Duties may be amended from time to time for the continued wellbeing of Heaton Community Centre
