What will the apprentice be doing?

Working with the Laboratory Technician (who will provide on the job training) and reporting to the Technical Manager, the role will include:

  • The quality assurance testing of raw materials and finished products
  • Reporting on samples returned from customers as part of technical support
  • Performing blend studies as part of a product development plan
  • The maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
  • The company is accredited to PAS99 (incorporating Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety and Energy Management systems) and the successful candidate will be involved in certain aspects of the business required to maintain these standards.
  • Part of the role will also involve working in other areas of the manufacturing operation to gain appreciation of the business as a whole
  • Attending TDR Training facility one day per week
