What will the apprentice be doing?

Over the 24-month period you’ll have a structured programme of work for 1 or more digital products. You’ll be coached by a Digital Product Manager on all aspects of deployment and project management.

There will be lots to learn and you’ll have the opportunity to have your say about how deployments are planned and managed.

As a “mobile worker” there is a requirement to visit sites and office locations across the UK&I to support with planning and implementation, giving front line and back of house teams first hand support & guidance. It’s also a great opportunity to visit and work with some of the most prestigious Client brands and locations.  All travel will be covered.

The wider Digital and Technology team is based in Parklands, Birmingham so expect to visit this site 1 day a week for team collaboration and meetings (and free food and drink!).

More specifically examples of the role include:

  • Works with regional teams to actively promote our Omni Channel Solutions
  • Support the team and sales & retention teams in live product demonstrations and live presentations to clients
  • Provides project management support and upkeep of all central mobilisation and roll out plans including central deployment schedules and MI information
  • Responsible for the upkeep of all central mobilisation and roll out plans including central deployment schedules and project reporting tools
  • ‘Hands on’ approach, on-site mobilisation, site surveys, planning, implementation and support activities
  • Support sector leads in complete necessary pre -onboarding tasks and pre-go live activities
  • Attends weekly progress calls updating project plans & trackers
  • Completes & updates all central wave planners and roll out plans
  • Supports any additional client requests or new queries
  • Contribute to product design and performance
  • Coordinating activity across a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Implement project management best practices for waterfall, agile and mixed projects

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Alongside your day-to-day duties, you will complete the Associate Project Manager Level 4 Apprenticeship. This is a nationally recognised qualification and the Over the 24-month period you’ll have a structured programme of work for 1 or more digital products.

You’ll be coached by a Digital Product Manager on all aspects of deployment and project management. You will be supported through this qualification by your Personal Development Coach who will visit you at your place work every 6-10 weeks. You are not expected to complete any of your Apprenticeship work outside of your normal working hours and will be given set time each week to complete your work.

Functional Skills in English and maths if required.
