What will the apprentice be doing?

You will have a full team of chefs to support and mentor you through everything from food safety to running food service yourself!

We are passionate about using fresh and local ingredients, this provides us the ability to create the best dishes possible - we'd certainly love you to share this passion and take this on with you in the future.

You don't need any experience as they can teach you everything. If you have a love of food, and are willing to learn, they would love to meet you and show you what it takes to become a vital team member in any kitchen.

Under the direction of the Executive Head Chef and the Head Chef, you will:

  • Learn and develop new skills daily, all of which will contribute to excelling with us
  • Work with our team to prepare, cook and present a range of dishes to a high standard
  • Work to and maintain the highest standards of hygiene and food safety
  • Work and gain experience on all sections of the kitchen including the pass
  • Provide excellent, efficient service whilst working to tight deadlines
  • Help ensure that the kitchen area, equipment, and storage areas are always kept clean and tidy

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 2 Commis Chef Apprenticeship.

Functional Skill in maths and English if required.

Training will be delivered one day per week, term time only at our City Centre Campus in Bath.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Career progression will be to rise in the ranks, our current brigade has Head Chef, Sous Chef and Commis Chef.
