What will the apprentice be doing?

Main duties (but not limited to): 

The focus of learning within this apprenticeship role will be setting production machinery and the role will include general maintenance of production machinery.   

  • Setting of machines to customer specification
  • Fixing problems during production 
  • General maintenance of machines, during and after production
  • Cleaning and maintenance of filling equipment 
  • Sample filling if required

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The successful candidate will complete a Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician apprenticeship. 

If you do not already hold GCSEs at grade A-C/8-4 in English and maths you will complete Functional Skills in the related subjects to attain Level 2 Functional Skills.
