What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Planning and executing activities for the children to learn and develop
  • Changing nappies and getting involved in healthy eating and cleaning
  • Interact positively with children, parents, visitors and other staff members
  • Meeting and greeting of children and parents

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:

  • Training will be a combination of on the job experience and independent learning with the training provider offering online and face to face support
  • In addition to which our ethos for continuous professional development means that there will be support from the team who have a breadth of experience and are highly qualified
  • Apprentices must successfully complete the Apprentices must successfully complete a first aid qualification in line with the requirements of the EYFS Framework
  • Apprentices without Level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking their end point assessment

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • To gain your qualification as a qualified early years educator, with the possibility to progress to a full-time job, subject to interview

About the employer

Home childcare, ensuring children are given the freedom to express themselves through play and to be who they want to be in a secured environment. I am registered with Ofsted I have worked with children for over 25 years as nursey nurse working up to a manager but I have decided to do it from the comfort of my own home . I have 5 children,4 step children and 5 grandchildren so I have had lots of experience with children.
