A full time position working in an independent coffee shop which is directly supplied by its own roastery. Open 7 days a week serving both food and a selection of drinks with customer service at the forefront of everything we do. As a Barista, full training will be provided and an interest in furthering your knowledge in coffee would be a plus!

What will the apprentice be doing?
A typical day in the coffee shop consists of arriving at 7.30am to freshly bake breakfast pastries and preparing the equipment for a busy morning of serving coffees. You'll then be joined by another member of the team to help with food service, lunch breaks, stock checks, cleaning etc. So you'll need to love the idea of running the shop on your own as well as working during the day as part of a team.
- Prepare the coffee shop ready for opening
- Take customer orders and payments
- Prepare and serve coffees, drinks, toasties and cakes
- Clean and tidy work areas, equipment and shop throughout the day and for closing
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 2 Hospitality Team Member Apprenticeship.
The apprenticeship training will be provided through a mixture of face-to-face tutorials and online learning.
Training and development will take place in the workplace.
Functional Skills offered if required.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Potential to become a fully trained Barista, complete Level 3 Hospitality, and run own coffee shop.
