What will the apprentice be doing?

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Be proactive in identifying and resolving any potential routing issues before they occur – finding creative solutions for complex problems
  • Ensure all administrative duties are carried out as necessary and to a high level of accuracy and professionalism
  • Arrange the export clearance of standard EU shipments, processing the paperwork and moving at pace to ensure zero delay deliveries
  • Transfer various sources of data from customers documentation to our customs system
  • Communicate with border forces to ensure seamless border crossing
  • Assist in weekly and monthly KPI as set by the business and/or customer
  • Ensure that appropriate communication methods are used to provide information both internally and externally as required e.g. dealing with customer / supplier issues etc.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • An apprenticeship in Supply Chain Operator Level 2 (Traffic Office)
  • Functional Skills in math and English if required
  • You will have monthly 3 hour visits with your tutor in the workplace.
