What you will do in your working day
The job will consist of the following tasks amongst others:
- Day-to-day maintenance of the gardens and grounds including the vegetable garden and cut flower garden
- Cutting grass
- Hedge Trimming and pruning
- Leaf blowing
- Planting
- Weeding
The training you will be getting
- Weekly college attendance required once a week at Berkshire College of Agriculture
- Level 2 Horticulture Operative Apprenticeship
- An assessor will visit you at your employer every 8-12 weeks
- Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English unless exempt
- Level 3 First Aid at Work Qualification
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
- Full-time role available upon successful completion of the apprenticeship
