    * Petrol allowance over a certain mileage * After the 2yr apprenticeship the starting rate for a swimming instructor is £15ph

  • Working week

    Mon - 4pm till 7pm / Tues - 4pm till 7.30pm / Wed - 4pm till 7pm / Thur - 4.15pm till 6.45pm / Fri - 4.30pm till 6.30pm / Sat - 9am till 12pm & 1pm till 3pm * 1hr coursework from home each week * 10am till 3pm in school holidays (Mon to Fri)

What will the apprentice be doing?

* Assisting swimming lessons for all abilities 

* Helping set up & close down 

* Updating class registers & progress reports

* Administration for the business

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Level 2 Award in Pool Lifeguarding
  • Level 2 in Swimming Teaching
  • Level 2 in Fitness or Gym Instruction
  • Level 3 certificate in First Aid

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Once fully qualified you'll have the opportunity to work as an instructor as part of my team with additional qualifications potentially available, such as higher level swim coaching, specialising in additional needs, baby/toddler teacher.

Things to consider

Not only will you be in the water but you will learn how the business operates & help with administration. Please note that you will be working from various venues so being able to drive is preferred as not all pools have bus routes.
