What will the apprentice be doing?

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving telephone calls from customers
  • Assisting the engineer with deliveries
  • Assisting with deliveries (bringing in stock, putting away in stock room)
  • Delivering to customers’ homes alongside colleagues
  • Help set up equipment on the shop floor and at customer’s house
  • Carrying out repairs (alongside engineer, e.g. puncture repair)
  • Stock control (looking after warehouse)
  • Serving customers on the shop floor
  • Upselling
  • Liaise with customers on the telephone
  • Customer service, making and receiving calls
  • Cleaning and preparing pre-owned stock for sale
  • Use of the till
  • Visual merchandising

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Full training in all aspects of the business will be provided and we will work alongside Davidson Training UK Limited our Training Provider in delivering off-the-job training leading to a Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship Standard.

You will also work towards maths and English Functional Skills at Level 2 (if you do not hold the equivalent)
