What will the apprentice be doing?
- Hourly wage £5.28 to £10.42 (National Living Wage) or £11.95 (London Living Wage) Statutory Sick and Holiday Pay + Bank Holiday Pay, automatic enrolment into the NEST Pension Scheme, Apprenticeship Oyster Card available for first-year travel discounts, NUS Discount Card, and course costs covered by Evolve
- Working week Monday - Friday, weekends may be an option. Minimum of 35 hours per week but the potential for more. Approx. 8.00am - 4.00pm but hours will be confirmed by the contractor after successfully passing the Stage 1 & 2 Interviews

- Apprenticeship level - Intermediate Level Apprenticeship - Level 2 (GCSE) What will the apprentice be doing? Alongside general labouring, Carpentry Apprentices can work in the below stages of a project
- Formwork carpenters make formwork that concrete is poured into - First fix carpenters build framing and first fix work such as floor structures and walls, and bulkheads - Second fix carpenters work on the final product such as doors, architraves, skirting boards, shelves, stair handrails and balustrades - Kitchen fitters, as the name suggests, fit kitchens and other cabinetry
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end? The qualification you would gain is Level 2 Carpentry (Standard). For those who already completed Level 2, there is a Level 3 option. This training will be either through remote learning or attending college with paid study time as needed up to 7 hours/1 day per week. You are expected to travel when necessary for training and/or assessments. You will be responsible for managing/arranging with your line manager. What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship? On completion of this apprenticeship, you can progress into the Level 3 Advanced qualification or work as a qualified Junior Carpenter where, with more experience, you can look to progress into a senior carpentry position, site/contracts/project management, self-employment, or carpentry business owner. You will be eligible for the Skilled Worker (Blue) CSCS Card after the level 2 qualification.

Apprentices without level 1 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end-point assessment.
