    £8,236.80 to £16,255.20

    You will be paid the minimum for your age. Benefits include; uniform, personal protective equipment, staff discounts some free food and soft/hot drinks depending on shift length.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Food service - taking orders, running food, table setup, working the pass, clearing and cleaning the restaurant
  • Bar & drinks - dispensing drinks, learning specs, cellar management, bar clean down and setup
  • Customer journey - learn the steps of service, how to interact with guests, giving great customer service, how to do the perfect table
  • Any other duties that befit your role or further your learning within the business

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Hospitality Team Member level 2 apprenticeship. 

You will receive training in the workplace to complement the training you receive weekly at college at the Buxton Campus, college transport is available. There is also a range of e-learning courses available alongside wine and beer training, when appropriate. 

There is also the possibility of studying towards Functional Skills qualifications as part of your apprenticeship if you have not already achieved GCSE maths & English grade 4/C. 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

There is potential for further progression on the successful completion of your apprenticeship either at the George or one of our other establishments.
