What will the apprentice be doing?
Responsibilities
- Install hardware components such as CPUs, RAM, storage drives, graphics cards, and motherboards.
- Connect and organise cables neatly within the systems to optimise airflow and aesthetics.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure all assembled systems meet the company's standards and customer requirements.
- Carry out thorough testing to ensure proper functionality and performance.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose any issues that may arise and resolve them promptly.
- Update firmware and BIOS to ensure the hardware is running at optimal performance and security levels.
- Perform operating system installations, updates, and configurations.
- Maintain accurate records of the assembly and refurbishment process, including any modifications made and issues encountered.
- Work closely and offer support to other departments and respond to urgent requests.
- Stay up to date with the latest computer hardware and technology trends to suggest improvements and enhance product offerings.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to create a safe working environment.

A Cloud Network Specialist’s role is both desk-based and involves visits to clients' premises to resolve issues.
