What will the apprentice be doing?

We are looking to recruit an apprentice to work across our Business Support functions.

This is a varied role where you will rotate within our administration departments, including:

  • Customer service – where you will answer calls and produce RFQs and place sales orders
  • Engineering Administration – dealing with warranty returns
  • Contract Administration – ensuring our contract customers' orders are met through production, you will be required to complete job cards with hours of work, raise shipment notes and invoices.
  • Purchasing – Source parts and obtain best pricing for the company

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

In house training will be provided on an ongoing daily basis. You will not be required to attend Dudley College premises as the course is delivered in the workplace only. An assessor will be allocated to you to progress/help you through you course. Continual assessments, coupled with assignments/or exams depending on course of study. Time spent training will be part of the agreed contracted hours of the working week.

At the end of your training, you will sit an exam and submit course work as part of your assessment, and you will receive a Level 3 qualification.

Daily on the job training will be provided by the employer.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Permanent role within Company for the right candidate, advance to Team Leader.

The latest centre opened in January 2017 is located in Telford and is required to provide additional remanufacturing capacity for rotating machines and other electrical equipment.
