What you will do in your working day
LS Engineering have a welding apprenticeship available where the successful candidate will be given the opportunity to develop welding and fabrication skills, and a variety of jobs to support the work you learn in college You will develop a variety of welding skills, such as MIG and MMA, using mild steel, to suit the company needs.
Typical day to day duties will include:
- Welding
- Finishing
- MIG welding on a variety of jobs
- Prepare materials for jobs
- Maintain work area
- Small amount of time using press brake
- Housekeeping
The training you will be getting
This is a level 2 Welding apprenticeship delivered over a period of 18 months. The apprentice will be required to attend the training centre, In-Comm Training Services, in Telford, TF3 3AJ, 2 days per week during this time.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
Following the completion of the apprenticeship, the candidate will be given the opportunity to learn more elements of the business and to progress.
