What will the apprentice be doing?

To liase with room leaders, duty of care of all our children, ability to use own initiative whilst following nursery policies and procedures.

Duties to include:

  • Caring for the children
  • Reading, playing and inspiring young minds
  • Helping room leaders with activities and lunchtime and snack time routines
  • Contributing to everyone enjoying their time at nursery

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Early Years Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard
  • This apprenticeship is completed within the workplace
  • You will be assessed through written work, verbal discussion and observation throughout your training
  • You will be given time by your employer to complete portfolio work, attend training, workplace shadowing and any other opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
