What will the apprentice be doing?

We are looking for someone to take on all aspects of the bakery, This will be from preparing food to spec and working with recipes to dealing with customers over the counter. All parts are equally crucial to keep the bakery running smoothly and letting customers have a great experience.

We would prefer a candidate to have at least GCSE grade 4/C or Level 2 pass in English & maths, however we will consider all applications if they have at least Level 1 pass/GCSE grade 2/E as a minimum.

Responsibilities that you will be fully trained to do include:

  • Preparation, cooking and serving of food
  • Ensure all food served is to the agreed high standard of the bakery
  • Support the bakers with daily tasks
  • Comply with health and safety requirements
  • Keep the kitchen clean, tidy and hygienic at all times
  • Assist with deliveries, stock rotation and restocking

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Functional Skills up to Level 2 in English & maths if not exempt.

This apprenticehsip is all delivered in the workplace. Instead of attending college one day per week, apprentices are given minimum 6 hours per week to do the apprenticeship work they have been set to do by the Assessor, once fully enrolled.
