What will the apprentice be doing?

Income

  • On a daily basis ‘make live’ the electronic statements which upload overnight to the income model
  • Match individual cash receipts to previously uploaded provider statements
  • Match client-paid fees to the plan / client within the Client Management Database
  • Assist in monitoring the Commissions@ email address
  • Retrieve, input data, and upload any manual statements (notified by email, obtain from the provider website or a paper statement is received)
  • Review Unallocated fees on individual provider statements and investigate, facilitating any changes to enable fees to be matched
  • Contact providers for missing statements or payments
  • For audit purposes ensure all provider statements are scanned and filed accordingly
  • Daily Commission Tasks - following new business applications, check initial fees have been paid and that the ongoing fee has been set up and paid correctly
  • Ad-hoc Commission Task - check ongoing fees are paying correctly following fee changes due to withdrawals or client reviews
  • If required, assist with analysis work in preparation for Income Month End Reconciliations (checking adviser splits have been applied correctly, ensuring recurring income payments have started following new business)

Projects:

  • On an ad-hoc basis assist with the reallocation of clients to new advisers, keeping a record of all changes and coordinating the process with Operations and Client Services Unit and Prism directors
  • Retrieve and analyse information regarding recurring income as required

Invoices:

  • When requested, produce any invoices with regards to Prism Fees (ad-hoc requests and some regulars), setting up a task to monitor for payment

Platform Alerts:

  • Check email notifications from providers informing us when there have been portfolio changes, prompt us to check if insufficient funds are available in cash to pay fees

Ad-hoc:

  • Sort and Distribute posts, answer telephones, scanning, and assist other departments

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship qualification, with training how to: Contribute to the efficiency of an organisation through the support of functional areas, working across teams and resolving issues as requested.
