What will the apprentice be doing?

  • To be a ‘Key Person’ to a group of children to support their learning and development
  • To complete monthly observations, termly assessments and legal require assessments such as 2-year Progress Checks
  • To develop a good practitioner knowledge about your key children
  • To build Positive Relationships with your key children’s parents.
  • To give daily feedback
  • To plan activities for all key children around their interest and assess children’s ‘Next Steps’

Things to consider

Rotas are sent out on a weekly basis and shifts rotate between staff. Basic Shift Patterns: 9-4pm 8-3pm All trainings are held on weekends, mainly Saturdays. Staff are informed well in advance. Our earliest shifts are 7.45-5.00pm.

Rosemount Nursery Bush Hill Park is a family-owned nursery that recently opened in February 2023. We do have a sister nursery based in Muswell Hill which has been opened for a few years. We are a small nursery that holds 30 children, our ethos is around giving children the best learning experience, providing a fun, safe environments where all children can flourish. At Rosemount we encourage children to be independent and give them the opportunities to explore within their learning. Rosemount Nursery is a free flow nursery, giving children the opportunity to explore within their environment having a wide range of activities to learn from.
