What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The successful applicant will complete the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. Once you have completed your final assessments known as an End Point Assessment you will receive either a grade Pass or Distinction.

There will be monthly workshops run by East Sussex College. The majority will be run remotely but some will be face-to-face at one of the college campuses. In addition to this you will also have visits from your assessor in the workplace. Your assessor will be doing training, observations and workplace reviews.

If you don’t hold a Level 2 qualification in maths and English such as GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, or Level 2 Functional Skills, you will be required to undertake Level 2 Functional Skills. Final exams for these qualifications will take place at one of East Sussex College’s campuses.

6 hours of your week, will be spent on training and you will be required to log this training. Training is where you are learning anything that is relevant to the job role. It will include: being mentored, observing other members of staff, work on your portfolio, research, any relevant in-house training, monthly workshops, meetings with your assessor etc.

You can only be entered in for your End Point Assessment once you have logged all your training.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

We are looking for someone to join us and develop as the company develops. Long term prospects would be to become Office Manager.
