What will the apprentice be doing?
There are 2 Technical roles available across Berkshire. One roles is in Taplow and another is at our Horlicks development near Slough.
The Technical Department focuses on managing the design process of the development once planning consent is granted. As a Technical Apprentice, you will be liaising closely with the Land, Commercial and Construction Departments from design through procurement and construction. You will be part of a team that manages the entire design process and ensures the requirements agreed at planning stage are met. You will coordinate different information with consultants and contractors such as kitchen designs, technical information and floor finishes and pass the correct information onto the build team.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The Technical (Design & Build) apprenticeship will last approximately 27 months which will be delivered in a hybrid model with both virtual and some face to face sessions in a London location. It is planned to be a day release model.
Level 4 qualification in Construction and Built Environment.
Functional skills if required.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
This apprenticeship can lead to other careers such as Quantity Surveying and Site Management.
It can also lead to progression onto higher apprenticeship programmes.
