What you will do in your working day
Day to day duties will include:
- Welding various products - mostly MIG
- Using various tools - saws, drills, grinders
- Fabrication
- Gas cutting
- Marking out
- Operating overhead cranes
- Reading engineering drawings
- Use manual handling techniques
You will be expected to be flexible as to which bay / part of the fabrication shop you will work in.
The training you will be getting
This is a level 2 General Arc Welding apprenticeship, delivered over a period of 12 months. You will attend the training centre 1 day per week (In-Comm Training Services in Telford TF3 3AJ) and 4 days at the company.
