We are a commercial and domestic landscape company offering a chance for someone to learn both sides of the business. Starting from the bottom you will learn everything involved in creating beautiful spaces. This will be working alongside the supervisor to assist them.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Assist the supervisor with getting the right materials 
  • Using basic hand tools
  • Learning about levels in gardens

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Level 2 Landscape Construction qualification - College Merrist Wood 1 day per week and 4 days per week on various client sites
  • We also put you on a CSCS course - this is done in 1 day in Tilford 
  • Functional skills English if necessary

You will also gain the following mandatory qualifications:

  • (Core) Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (Ofqual registered) minimum 1-day course
  • (Horticulture Operative) Lantra Awards Level 2 Award in Safe Use of Pesticides OR City and Guilds Level 2 Principles of Safe Handling and Application of Pesticides
  • (Horticulture Operative) Lantra Awards Level 2 Award in the Safe Application of Pesticide Using Hand Held Equipment OR City and Guilds Level 2 Award In The Safe Application of Pesticides Using Pedestrian Hand Held Equipment



What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

We expect the apprentice to carry on their career within the company and go on to do their digger or dumper ticket and supervisor qualification if they wish too.

You would be able to choose what area of expertise you like the most to learn more about and gain more qualifications.
