What will the apprentice be doing?
- Ability to supervise pupils effectively, both in and out of school in line with the school’s behaviour policy
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills both in working relationship with young pupils and in forming effective professional relationships with a wide range of contacts
- Supports children to develop numeracy and language skills through games and play
- Meets the care needs of the individual child such as feeding, changing nappies and administration of medicine
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Able to form and maintain appropriate professional relationships and boundaries with children and young people
- Ability and willingness to work constructively as part of a team
- Ability to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner

- Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
- End Point Assessment (EPA)
All learners will complete Prevent, Equality and Diversity, Mental Health, Nutrition and Hydration and Safeguarding children training (Online) to be completed at the start of their qualification (BV).
