Our manufacturing apprentices are given a structured training program over 18 months. In addition to learning about our product range and the production process the apprentice will visit suppliers to learn about the raw materials that we use, and customers to see how our products are used.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Your training will involve a structured rotation around our manufacturing departments
  • Learning about the raw materials, processes and products that we produce
  • This will involve working in various departments learning how to run various machines. These could vary from textile carding machines, CNC fabric or foam cutting machines to robotic spraying assembly lines
  • You will be working as part of a small team in each department that you are allocated to during your training process

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Furniture Manufacturer Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard:

  • Your 'on the job training' will be supplemented with classroom study time and tutoring from your company mentor and Burnley College tutor
  • All training will be conducted on site

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • On succesful completion of the apprenticeship we would anticipate offering a full time position
  • There will be opportunities for further training and career progression to those that wish to progress further
