What will the apprentice be doing?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality customer focused technical support and training to non-teaching and teaching staff and to pupils, including 1:1 iPad training and assisting with INSET training where appropriate 
  • Install and maintain computer hardware, workstations, laptops, audio/visual equipment and peripherals  
  • Assist with the expansion of the school network infrastructure including switches, cabling and wireless network equipment 
  • Software installation, maintenance and upgrading in line with the school development policy 
  • Report any detected breach of the school’s IT acceptable use policy to the IT Network Manager 
  • Work on new projects beneficial to the IT environment 
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned by the Network Manager
