The training you will be getting
Training is delivered in the workplace and via 7 weekly college training blocks per year at S&B's specialist Automotive Academy in Bristol.
The apprentice will be assigned a workplace mentor and an S&B development coach who will offer support, advice, and guidance by monitoring progress via S&B’s purposely developed eLogbook that all parties can access at any time.
Apprentices take a Gateway Assessment at the end of every year to progress until the completion of the End Point Assessment.
If an apprentice faces a daily commute to S&B’s Academy that is not viable whilst on a weekly training block, the apprentice can arrange with the employer to stay in hotel accommodation.
As a result, you will receive the following qualification:
- Level 2 Autocare Technician Apprenticeship Standard
- Functional Skills in maths and English if required
