We are looking for a Hair Professional Apprentice for our busy salon in Chester to learn the skills to become a Hairdressing Professional. You will carry out salon assistant duties whilst learning working behaviours consultation/client care, shampoo & conditioning, style & setting hair, cut and colour hair with weekly in-house training.

What will the apprentice be doing?
The duties and responsibilities within the salon include:
- Meeting and greeting clients in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Assisting qualified Hairdressers with shampooing, providing treatments, blow-drying etc.
- After relevant training, some basic cutting and styling will be involved in this role. This will become more complex as your skills develop.
- Working on the reception desk and booking client appointments.
- Keeping the salon clean and tidy.
- Offering clients refreshments.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The candidate will follow a Level 2 Apprenticeship programme and study towards a full Level 2 Standard in Hairdressing.
Level 2 Diploma for Hair Professionals - Hairdressing.
This training will be structured and delivered by Cheshire College – South & West. If the candidate does not hold GCSE grades A*- D (9-3) or equivalent, they will be required to complete Level 1 Functional Skills in the relevant subjects.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
To potentially go on and complete level three apprenticeship following on from successful completion of level two.
