What will the apprentice be doing?

A fantastic opportunity to join a very friendly team of kitchen staff at The Black Horse Inn Swainby.

Duties will include the following:

  • Maintaining a safe hygienic and secure working environment
  • You will adhere to all Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
  • You will work alongside kitchen staff to learn all aspects of cooking to a high standard
  • Ensure procedures and schedules are followed
  • Assist the kitchen staff in maintaining high cuisine standards
  • Maintain food safety when storing, holding and serving food
  • Learn the importance of stock rotation and adhere to it

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 2 Production Chef Apprenticeship standard:

  • Day release at College/Training Provider
  • On and off the job training
