What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Assisting the Laboratory Analyst, samples are collected from the various processes and analysis of critical processes is carried out at the start of the day. Manufacturing staff are advised of any additions required. Less critical processes are then analysed
  • Laboratory staff are tasked with making additions to processes using precious metals such as gold or platinum
  • Should a problem arise in the manufacturing process, lab staff may be asked for their involvement and chemical knowledge

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • To attend Warrington & Vale Royal College on a day release per week to work towards your Laboratory Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship
  • Functional Skills in maths and English, if required 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • CC Electronics are constantly seeking manufacturing staff, including the laboratory position, and the right candidate will be offered a full-time role upon completion of the apprenticeship

Things to consider

Personal protective equipment is required for the wet process area of the factory. Any required PPE will be provided by the company.
