What will the apprentice be doing?
The successful candidate would need to be trustworthy and astute as all our customers expect full confidentiality. We are looking for someone that can work as part of the office team and also on their own. Any understanding of illustrator would be helpful to assist on the artwork side. The quoting and order system we use is bespoke so full training would be given. The average day would consist of:
- Quoting for labels
- Processing orders
- Filing quotes and job tickets, up dating the orders onto the computer, putting samples in the sample books
May also include working in the despatch area when needed to cover holidays. Full on site training would be given All our processes are bespoke to our company.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the qualification obtained will be a L3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard.
The apprentice will be given sufficient time to undertake their "off-the-job" requirement of the apprenticeship during their working hours. Throughout your time as an apprentice, you will be supported by both Calf Hey and the BPIF. You will be assigned a training coordinator to ensure that you have the best training available.
Training requirements will be discussed at the point of employment to suit your individual needs and business needs. Most training and studying will be a combination of site-based and remote delivery.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Once qualified we would be looking to train the candidate in other parts of the business like the digital department. They can learn the order processing, quoting and maybe some printing depending on the IT skills and knowledge of artwork packages
