We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join and support our Reception/Administration Team and to operationally assist and support the Management Team. You will make/cancel/rearrange appointments via the clinical system, as well as other duties. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to start their career in General Practice, whilst completing a Customer Service apprenticeship.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Make/cancel/rearrange appointments via the clinical system. This will include any follow up actions required
  • Allocation of triage appointments
  • Giving routine test results, where appropriate
  • Taking home visit requests
  • Passing emergency calls i.e chest pain/stroke to duty doctor
  • General enquiries
  • Resolving any issues
  • Complaint management and resolution
  • Prescription enquiries
  • Data entry of new and temporary registrations
  • Action tasks set by clinicians via the clinical systems and e-mail
  • Ensure confidentiality at all times
  • Comply and familiarise yourself with the practice's policies and procedures
  • To complete all associated administration in an accurate and timely manner
  • To provide outstanding customer care always, both internally and externally
  • To have a thorough knowledge of all practice procedures
  • To work in accordance with written protocols
  • To assist the Practice management team with operational tasks
