What will the apprentice be doing?
Working as a Business Administration apprentice in the busy marketing department of Allied Machine and Engineering - this is a varied and exciting role for someone looking to develop into a marketing role long term.
The apprentice will be learning from the team, working on the following:
- Event planning, such as in-house training seminars, exhibitions etc
- Literature creation for different products or product lines, industries, countries etc
- Purchasing, stock-holding and distribution of promotional items (give-aways)
- Global consistency v. demographic differences
- Graphic design, inc. InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator etc
- Social media
- Supporting with advertising campaigns
- The opportunity to learn about website content (Kentico)
- Market research of industries by region or country
- Digitalisation of certain processes, such as account opening, registration for training etc
- Other office based duties as required
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship Standard.
In house training will be provided on an ongoing daily basis with the current finance team. You will not be required to attend Dudley College premises as the course is delivered in the workplace only. An assessor will be allocated to you to progress/help you through you course. Continual assessments, coupled with assignments/or exams depending on course of study. Time spent training will be part of the agreed contracted hours of the working week.
At the end of your training, you will sit an exam and submit course work as part of your assessment, and you will receive a Level 3 qualification.
The Employer will provide full training. Any training needs will be identified and in line with the apprenticeship course. The right candidate will be fully supported to achieve their qualification. Any training needs will be identified and discussed with the apprentice and will be and in-line with the chosen course. The apprentice will be fully supported to achieve good grades.
