What will the apprentice be doing?

The job duties include:

  • Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • To work within the procedures as laid down in the companies Quality Management System

  • Receive Goods into the warehouse from suppliers and production

  •  Inspect the condition of goods on receipt and report any damage or discrepancies

  • Fork-Lift operation within the warehouse and production areas. Loading and unloading delivery/collection vehicle

  • Complete Fork-Lift maintenance log on a daily basis

  • Entering parts into designated warehouse locations and re-issuing using the works order system

  • Recording stores movements on the stores stock control spreadsheet, ensuring goods received from suppliers and production are entered into their correct locations

  • Reporting stores shortages and discrepancies

  • Packing of parts for dispatch and supporting production in the packing of full systems

  • Returning rejected parts to suppliers ensuring correct documentation is raised

  • Dispatching packages through a national carrier, ensuring accuracy of items shipped and destination addresses

  • Producing delivery note and dispatch labels

  • Periodic cycle counting

  • Carrying out of quarterly stock takes

  • Any other reasonable task required by the company

Training will include:

  • Apprenticeship training will be provided by In-Comm Training Services Limited, and the qualifications include:

    An NVQ Level 2 in Warehouse and Storage
    Functional Skills in English and maths
    Employment Rights and Responsibilities Workbook
    Personal Learning and Thinking Skills Workbook

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Full-time position after successful completion of this apprenticeship. Potential to progress to a team leader role as the company grows.
