    £22,880.00

    £11.00 per hour for day shifts £12.25 per hour for night shifts + £250 joining bonus

  • Working week

    40 hours, 2 weekly rota with every other weekend off (Shifts TBC). Successful candidate must be flexible.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Caring for and supporting up to four young people in the home, helping them develop, grow and lead happy fulfilled lives
  • Creating a homely, nurturing environment where young people can thrive
  • Organising activities, helping young people learn new skills, achieve their goals and have fun!

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Over the course of 18 months, you will study topics such as Programme introductions and expectations, child development, professional development, safeguarding, multi agency working, health, well-being and resilience, assessment and planning, theory and legislation, equality, diversity and the ethos of residential childcare, complex disabilities and conditions, educational requirements of children and young people in residential childcare (these subjects may differ).

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship programme, you will be awarded a Level 4 TQUK Diploma in Residential Childcare.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Once you have completed your Level 4 and gain their Level 3 Residential Childcare Diploma there will be more opportunities available within the business as they are opening more children's homes across the south coast and potential to gain the Level 5 as well

GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4) Essential
GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4) Essential
NVQ or SVQ Level 3 or equivalent Residential Care (Grade Level 3 Diploma) Desired
Other Learning Disabilities (Grade 1 year+ experience) Essential

Things to consider

This role includes responsibilities of driving the Children to days out, shopping and appointments and so a Full UK driver's licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for the role.
