What will the apprentice be doing?
- Answering the phone and meeting/greeting customers on site
- Redirecting customer queries when unable to directly help
- Operating our computerised in-house stock management system (accounting for sale items as they are delivered or “pre-entered”, accounting for items as they are collected from our site)
- Assisting admin staff with day to day duties
- Accounting for keys to machines which are held securely in the offices
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Formal training is delivered at HWGTA, located in Hereford (HR4 9SX).
You will receive a training plan that is specific to your qualification, with sessions that are delivered through a combination of face-to-face and remote.
Additional training for functional skills in English and maths will be undertaken if needed.
You will receive monthly visits from your assigned Learning and Development Specialist, who will set you work, monitor your development and wellbeing, and discuss training sessions. They will also prepare you for your End Point Assessment to gain your Business Administrator Level 3 qualification.
There is also a five-day teambuilding residential trip that is held in the spring of each year offered to all apprentices on programme.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Likely to become full-time role for the correct staff. They will be fully trained up to understand our company processes and be involved in more of the administration operations throughout their career.
