Vehicle Body Panel Apprenticeship - Luton FMG REPAIR SERVICES LIMITED
Apprentices will be working alongside fully qualified body panel technicians to be fully trained repairing and replacing damaged panels using approved techniques including gas, electric and plastic welding. Duties to include; Rectifying faults within a vehicles structure that’s integral to its safety. Repair and replace vehicle body panels and components of the vehicle safely and efficiently. Interpret relevant technical data and methods to make sure that any joints are in line with vehicle manufacturer specification.

What will the apprentice be doing?
Vehicle Body Panel Technician Apprentices are trained to repair and replace damaged panels using approved techniques, including:

- plastic welding up to B.S.I certification
Duties to include;
- Rectifying faults within a vehicles structure that’s integral to its safety.
- Repair and replace vehicle body panels and components of the vehicle safely and efficiently.
- Interpret relevant technical data and methods to make sure that any joints are in line with vehicle manufacturer specification.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- College Block Release.
- Level 3 Vehicle Damage Panel Technician Standard.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
A full time career within the automotive industry with many opportunities to progress to positions of authority. The opportunities are endless. By having a highly regarded set of skills, Apprentices can go on to develop their career within the specific interests they may have, whether it be progressing through their dealership, working towards a job within motorsport.
